Your role

As a Pricing Analyst in the AIA Vitality team, you will support the pricing and financial management of the AIA Vitality program across Australia and New Zealand. In this exciting role, you will develop your core actuarial capabilities including pricing, experience reviews, and financial modeling, and contribute to the product development cycle from ideation to delivery. You can also develop your data analytics skills in a unique and data-rich context.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Maintain and develop Vitality pricing assumptions and analysis models 
  • Prepare pricing and management reports, and communicate analysis and results to internal stakeholders
  • Leverage data and analytics techniques to support Vitality’s commercial objectives
  • Understand the strategy and financial dynamics of all of AIA’s insurance businesses (Retail Life, Group Life, Health) to ensure Vitality is having the desired impact
  • Contribute to the Vitality product development process by producing analysis to support product design decisions and commercial negotiations with partners

About you

Successful applications will demonstrate: 

  • You are studying towards your actuarial qualification, with some experience in an actuarial or similar role. Experience working in life/health insurance or data analytics/data science is desirable but not essential.  
  • You’re an analytic thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. You’re also an excellent communicator backed with sound analysis skills which allow you to provide meaningful insights that influence pricing decisions.
  • If you are a budding actuary with a personal interest in health or fitness, then this is a unique opportunity to combine your personal and professional passions.
