ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

About the opportunity

Our Corporate Graduate Program is a unique and exciting early careers pathway dedicated to providing meaningful work, growth and security. Our graduates will receive tailored mentoring and support whilst gaining exposure through rotations across a range of departments prior to settling in a specific area at the end of the Program.

We are seeking Graduates with an interest to develop their career in Planning. This is a structured 2-year program which will commence in July 2025. We have opportunities in Henderson, Western Australia.

Responsibilities in this role include, but not limited to

  • The core purpose of the Operations Planning Team is to provide world class planning services and support to ASC and broader Submarine Enterprise.
  • Support of Maintenance Activity work package generation, execution and coordination.
  • Conduct impact assessment of Maintenance Availability Work Packages (MAWP) as a result of integration of modifications to work packages.
  • Continuous improvement and adherence to the Submarine Planning Corporate Management System processes, internal work instructions and other processes required by the Project Management Plan.

Essential skill and experience

  • Degree in an engineering, business discipline or trade qualification
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, Word and Excel.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
