Aemo recently had a campaign sourcing idea from employees about how to reduce our environmental footprint. many employees are very focused on environmental impact as the energy industry is at the forefront of decarbonisation and the integration of low carbon technologies is what is driving the change in our industry. this meant there was no shortage of ideas when it comes to recycling office equipment and the like, even if the scale is very small compared to our main focus ;)

Minimal importance. we have a low footprint so it is not a high priority.

As an electricity grid operator we take on many technical challenges that allow us to move to a renewable electricity grid, which makes up more than 30% of australia's emissions and with further electrification of transport and other industries could indirectly reduce our emissions more. as for the environment footprint we largely operate a paperless office and there have been various initiatives made to brainstorm ways in which we can reduce our environmental footprint.

Company has a sustainability initiative, but it does not appear to permeate all areas of the business, particularly paper use etc.

This is tangled with the role of the operator. installed solar panels on office that own.

We've been told to turn our computers off at night and there is recycling and compost bins available. because of the industry, employees tend to have strong feelings about "carbon footprints" for better or worse.
