Your role

What you will be doing

  • Supporting and engaging in the full Project management lifecycle undertaking tasks for a group of ‘low complexity’ IT projects to internal and external customers; managing customer expectations, customer experience, internal and external suppliers, project schedule within MSP, and reporting activities within a PPM toolset.  

Duties and responsibilities

  • Applies standard techniques and tools to carry out analysis and performance monitoring activities for specified Projects.
  • Supports problem resolution, resolves issues and acts on feedback and usage of in-life Projects.
  • Creates Project collateral and monitors results and feedback from Project campaigns.      
  • Uses and recommends project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking projects.
  • Sets up and provides detailed guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques.
  • Supports programme or project control boards including administrative services, project assurance teams and quality review meetings. 
  • May be involved in aspects of supporting a programme by providing a cross-programme view on risk, change, quality, finance or configuration management.   
  • Uses recommended portfolio, programme and project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking. Sets up project files, compiles and distributes reports. 
  • Provides advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of IT policies and processes in order to ensure compliance whilst facilitating the delivery of business objectives.
  • Gathers data, analyses and prepares reports or presentations to feed information back to teams/managers

Training & development

Therefore strong communication skills, being personable, and operating with tact and diplomacy are all essential traits.  Adhering to internal BAE Systems delivery assurance processes and must be comfortable collaborating across internal teams and roles, in order to fulfil and deliver their group of projects. This position is for a permanent contract.

About you

Qualification requirements:

  • As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or Business, Finance, Legal, PM-related
