Your role

What you will be doing?

• The principal purpose of the Commercial function is to manage and develop constructive, long-lasting relationships with Customers, suppliers, and partners based on trust and proven operational excellence. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To develop, negotiate, and agree on innovative business solutions that exceed BAE Systems’ Customers' expectations whilst delivering shareholder value and achieving profits for the company. 
• To negotiate, agree, and support innovative contracts that provide a Commercial framework within which BAE Systems deliver world-class capabilities to Customers while minimizing risk and maximizing shareholder value.
• To achieve these objectives the Commercial function disseminates Commercial policies and processes, delivers the effective management of contracts, and carries out appropriate training to ensure that the function’s personnel have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their role effectively.
• Working in the Commercial function provides the opportunity to support the generation of bids and proposals to Customers that are priced, developed, and approved within the Business.

Compensation & benefits

Commercial contracts graduate's annual salary is £34,000 per annum plus a £2,000 welcome bonus. You’ll also receive benefits including:

Work-life balance

BAE Systems does offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however, it is expected that in the graduate program, you will be required to attend your site 4 days per week. Your line manager will outline the hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on-site/remotely.

Qualification requirements:

• As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
