Your role

What you will be doing?

• Working in procurement enables you to take up a variety of roles to help ensure the delivery of the right products, at the right time and the right cost to the required quality.
• Your role will be varied; ranging from undertaking supplier visits to a more analytical focus on developing procurement strategies.
• The procurement team is an important support function in one of the world’s most exciting defense companies.
• The firm provides world-class sourcing, contract, and supplier management capability to deliver increased product or service quality, reduced total cost of ownership (TCO), and enhanced operating efficiencies without compromising quality, safety, health, or the environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivering value for money through planned and skillful management, typically coordinating supplier selection.
• Subsequent and appropriate management of the supply base (SRM)
• Conducting contract negotiations and placement and management of all third-party requirements in relevant categories/projects.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and maintain stakeholder maps.  
• Responsible for producing key reports and presentations to those same stakeholders.

Compensation & benefits

Procurement graduate's annual salary is £34,000 per annum plus a £2,000 welcome bonus. You’ll also receive benefits including:

Work-life balance

BAE Systems does offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however, it is expected that in the graduate program, you will be required to attend your site 2-3 days per week. Your line manager will outline the hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on-site/remotely.

About you

Qualification requirements:

• As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in all areas of degrees will be considered.
