Your role

This is a full-time internship position for their Fall/Spring Rotation, expected to start September 2, 2024, through March 14, 2025, in Mountain View, CA.

The intern will be responsible for independently handling assigned projects, including but not limited to a wide variety of administrative tasks, conducting surveys, and managing presentations on various topics relevant to the BMW Technology Office. Furthermore, introduction to HR-related topics such as managing all interns at the Tech Office as well as helping with the onboarding of full-time employees. Fleet management will round out the experience. Cooperation with all engineers on project-related purchasing tasks allows for insights into Tech Office projects.

Training, development & rotation

Interns will gain hands-on experience in administrative tasks, survey conducting, and presentation management. You will also be introduced to HR-related topics such as intern management and employee onboarding, along with fleet management responsibilities. By supporting various projects and collaborating with engineers on purchasing tasks, interns will develop insights into project management within a tech office environment.

Salary & benefits

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $27.50, while graduate students are paid $35.00 per hour.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application.
  • Field of Study: Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related.
  • Must attach a copy of the college's unofficial transcript.
  • Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
  • Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only).
  • Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Event management, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of hierarchy.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
