Your role

This is a full-time internship position for their Summer Rotation, from May 20, 2024, through August 16, 2024, in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. The intern should be able to support data analysis within the dealer retail network planning group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare documents for internal meetings and with large dealer groups.
  • Conduct market analysis of future market planning opportunities, including optimal retail location analysis and franchising activities using respective software tools to gather data and formulate reports and documents to support actions.
  • Assist with the development of presentations, dealer facility capacity planning tool, milestone tracking, and corporate ID documents for BMW & MINI facility renovations.
  • Support Dealer Development with ad-hoc analysis of key performance indicators to facilitate management decision-making.
  • Collect information from multiple departments to create executive briefing papers for dealer group meetings, grand openings, and new dealer candidate meetings.
  • Assist the department with the renewal of dealer contracts and documents and provide assistance as needed with Dealer Development files and versioning.
  • Provide support to the BMW and MINI brands to define and document brand standards, in addition to providing support to the Regions on these topics.
  • Assist with tracking and creating reports on the monthly status of standards compliance.

Training & development

During the internship, you will gain hands-on experience in document preparation, market analysis, presentation development, contract renewal processes, and brand standardization efforts within the automotive industry. You will also develop skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting, along with exposure to dealer management and brand compliance activities.

Salary & benefits

The hourly rate for undergraduate students is $25.30 and for graduate students is $32.20.

About you

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application.
  • Field of study will be Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, and Economics.
  • Must attach a copy of the college's unofficial transcript.
  • Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
  • Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficient in Tableau.
  • Strong Communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
