Your Role:
Key responsibilities as follows:
- Support launch and change coordinators with engineering changes.
- Contribute to Test Car BOM validation to ensure correct parts are used.
- Assist in coordinating Line Trials for testing new parts in production.
- Generate and maintain reports, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Focus on efficiency improvements and data accuracy in major projects.
- Implement solutions to enhance process efficiency.
- Conduct process mapping exercises and create content overviews for vehicle modules.
- Facilitate workshops to identify process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
About You:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Pursuing a BS or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, MIS, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite.
- Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn BMW Group systems.
- Project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Preferred skills in VBA (or Python) and JAVA.
- Knowledge or experience in manufacturing processes and workflows is preferred.
- German language skills are a plus.
- Commitment to three co-op rotations as an enrolled student.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from the current university.
- Must attach a copy of the unofficial transcript.
- Completion and passing of a substance abuse test before the work term.
- Work term dates are May 19th – August 8th, 2025.
