Your role

The Hospitality Planning Intern will:

  • Assist in planning, directing, and controlling food service operations resulting in a positive dining and market experience for all associates and contractors.
  • Assist in ensuring that BMW Food Service procedures are adhered to.
  • Support Food Service specialists through auditing and enforcing that food service contracts are followed by vendors.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Shadow Food Service specialist in audits and meetings with vendors. 
  • Work with the vendor to review work orders that need to be entered in Corrigo and with the equipment repair company.
  • Identify and prioritize items needed to run food service operations efficiently.
  • Target Management. 
  • Refrigeration Data Base Log.
  • Create a KPI audit form and grading system based on the contract.

About you

Qualifications requirements:

  • Majoring in Food Service Management, Food Safety, or Hospitality Management.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • Must attach a copy of the unofficial Transcript.
