Job Description:
The Hospitality Planning Intern will:
Assist in planning, directing, and controlling food service operations resulting in a positive dining and market experience for all associates and contractors.
Assist in ensuring that BMW Food Service procedures are adhered to.
Support Food Service specialists through auditing and enforcing that the food service contract is followed by the vendor.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
Shadow Food Service specialist in audits and meetings with vendors.
Work with the vendor to review work orders that need to be entered in Corrigo and with the equipment repair company.
Identify and prioritize items needed to run food service operations efficiently.
Target Management.
Refrigeration Data Base Log.
Create a KPI audit form and grading system based on the contract.
About you
Qualifications:
Majoring in Food Service Management, Food Safety, or Hospitality Management.
Detail oriented.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Microsoft Office skills.
Effective communication skills.
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
Have Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university.
Must attach a copy of the unofficial transcript.
Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
The work term dates are January 13th - May 16th, 2025.
