Contribute to BMW's hands-on student experience with responsibilities in packaging planning and 3D printing.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Packaging Planning Team to support BMW Packaging Planners.
  • Assist with daily activities, improving and maintaining existing products.
  • Analyze packaging concepts/options for future models.
  • Support 3D-Print Lab/Additive Manufacturing in model creation and processing.
  • Analyze existing packaging for optimizations to reduce environmental impact and logistics costs.
  • Provide general support for Packaging Planners on modifications and identification projects.
  • Support Additive Manufacturing team with 3D Print projects.
  • Moderate Packaging Planning Meetings, including team meetings and packaging reviews.
  • Promote AM services within the plant.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Enrollment in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • German and/or Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Logistics knowledge preferred.
  • Additive Manufacturing knowledge preferred.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale.
  • Enrollment at a university outside of the United States.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Completion of a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months.
  • Ability to complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
