Your role

This is a full-time internship position for their Summer Rotation, from June 3, 2024, through August 16, 2024, in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

The intern will support the Marketing department with the creation of knowledge management articles for both web and app platforms. The intern will also gain hands-on experience with market analysis, project management, content creation, and search optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating, editing, and publishing knowledge management articles to faq.bmwusa.com/MyBMWApp.
  • Create new articles using BMW NA resources and revise select centrally developed US market applicable articles.
  • Implement metadata tagging, categorization, and search optimization techniques to enhance content discoverability, and focus keywords for SEO.
  • Research and highlight FAQ sites of other OEMs to elevate and expand the BMW Selfcare platform.

Training, development & rotation

As an intern supporting the Marketing department at BMW, interns will gain practical experience in knowledge management article creation for web and app platforms. You will develop skills in market analysis, project management, content creation, and search optimization, enhancing your ability to contribute effectively to digital marketing initiatives. Through research and comparison with other OEMs, interns will also expand their understanding of BMW's competitive landscape and self-care platform development.

Salary & benefits

The hourly rate for undergraduates is $25.30, while graduate students earn $32.20 per hour.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application.
  • The field of study is Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Must attach a copy of the college's unofficial transcript.
  • Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
  • Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only).
  • Intermediate/advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.
  • Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.

Preferences:

  • Prior experience with CRM (Salesforce).
