Internship opportunity in logistics planning at a dynamic learning environment.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting logistics planning initiatives across the plant.
  • Assisting with series changes and new vehicle launches.
  • Implementing autonomous logistics vehicles.
  • Running weekly/monthly reporting documents.
  • Organizing lineside transition for series packages.
  • Conducting logistics parts list checks and maintenance.
  • Planning headcount for logistics processes for new launches.
  • Planning floor space for part storage.
  • Planning material flow deliveries for future derivatives.
  • Maintaining BMW layouts using layout software.
  • Conducting Future Model Evaluation Run.
  • Enhancing dashboards for KPI reporting.
  • Planning implementation of Smart Transport Robots and autonomous vehicles.
  • Creating KPI tracking for performance.
  • Supporting fault resolution.

About You:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Be enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
  • Have completed at least 30 credit hours.
  • Be able to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Provide a GPA from the current university if a transfer student.
  • Attach a copy of an unofficial transcript.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • Be studying Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Be detail-oriented.
  • Preferably have programming knowledge.
  • Be a self-starter.
