Your role

The Driving Dynamics Intern will:

  • Support the coordination and management of supplier quality systems for Powertrain & Driving Dynamics purchased parts.
  • Support the development and approval of current, and new supplier quality and production systems, to ensure purchased parts meet product specifications.
  • Be an integral part of driving continuous improvements at suppliers and parts development for manufacturing.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Develop new and challenging supplier quality and production improvement projects.
  • Support the module Quality Engineer(s) with advanced quality planning activities such as risk assessment, and product and process development.
  • Support in quality problem solving for supplier-related issues and implementation of solutions.
  • Traceability Audit.
  • Industrialization – New launches.
  • TecSa – Technical Cleanliness.

Training & development

During the internship, you will gain experience in coordinating and managing supplier quality systems, developing and approving supplier quality and production systems, and driving continuous improvements at suppliers.

About you

Skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Student in Engineering, Business Administration, or International Business.
  • Basic knowledge of the automotive industry and project management is preferred, but not essential.
  • Teamwork, self-initiative, proactive, assertiveness, and good communication skills.
  • Ability to create reports, charts, and presentations with Office tools (good skills with Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university.
  • Must attach a copy of the unofficial transcript.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • The work term dates are August 12th-December 13th, 2024.
