Your role
Job Description:
Support Finance team initiatives and key department objectives.
Work within the International Regional Financial Steering Department of Region Americas to learn BMW financial processes in order to help steer the organization, and drive efficiencies and cost-saving measures.
Provide an environment of learning and training that fosters growth and experience for the selected candidate while simultaneously assisting the company to achieve internal goals, targets, and KPIs.
The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
Financial Data Analysis
Forecasting & Monthly Reporting
Creation of Management Presentations
Further development of financial reporting tools
Facilitates team meetings
Maintain Financial intranet site and communication
Implement efficiencies and digitalization with current financial processes
Create training & process documentation
Develop tools used for reporting and maintain system applications for financial metrics and data (MS Applications, Oracle, PowerBI, APEX, …)
About you
Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Finance/Computer Science/Business/Accounting preferred.
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
Team player
Ability to communicate to multiple levels of management
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent Microsoft Products skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in PowerBI, QlikSense, and/or Tableau (preferred)
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
Ability to complete 3 work terms for co-op positions as an enrolled student.
Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university.
Must attach a copy of the unofficial transcript.
Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
The work term dates are January 13th - May 16th, 2025.
