Your role

This position provides operational support for TX-65 programs designed for current and recent college graduates who are part of the following Professional Talent Development Programs: Gen>NEXT student program, PACE, AcceleratiON. The role will interface with various associates and managers in various departments throughout Plant Spartanburg, utilize various computer applications and phone communications daily, and attend regular meetings for their Talent Development Programs.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

  • Schedule meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist with documentation tracking, filing, data collection, and analysis.
  • Track training completion for Associates in programs.
  • Create, review, and revise program promotional documentation and forms.
  • Support new hire onboarding activities.
  • Maintain project plans and task lists for individual and team projects.
  • Attend meetings, compile minutes, and track action items.
  • Create presentations and communication documents using Corporate Identity standards.
  • Coordinate and attend PACE Inside Scoop Sessions.
  • Coordinate and attend Gen>NEXT virtual and in-person workshops.
  • Monitor and respond to Gen>NEXT operations and PACE email inbox.
  • Update various sources for program tracking.
  • Present TDP monthly updates in the TX-65 meeting.
  • Create quarterly TDP Newsletter (PACE. AcceleratiON) and bi-weekly Gen>NEXT newsletter.
  • Coordinate event scheduling, staffing, and training (e.g., National Intern week in Summer rotation).
  • Design and develop materials.
  • Conduct research and analysis.
  • Conduct surveys to gather input and feedback.
  • Provide input for continuous improvements through needs assessment.
  • Evaluate and report on programs and associates' perspectives.
  • Oversee Gen>NEXT LinkedIn strategy.
  • Digitalize processes to increase automation, data visualization, and data-based decisions.
  • Coordinate National Intern Week activities.
  • Create Gen>NEXT marketing video.
  • Migrate all Gen>NEXT student programs to TEAMS.
  • Maintain and upgrade APEX for Talent Development Programs.
  • Develop Operational Lead Processes Manual for PACE and AcceleratiON Programs.

About you

Skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Pursuing BS/BA or advanced degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
  • MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision.
  • The position requires maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • MS Teams and SharePoint experience preferred.
  • Experience with databases and data visualization tools (e.g., APEX, Power BI) preferred.
  • Experience with marketing, video editing, and newsletter creation preferred.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
  • Full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completion of at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for co-op positions.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from the current university.
  • Must attach a copy of the unofficial transcript.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • The work term dates are August 12th-December 13th, 2024.
