When you apply to the Banking and Accounting career pathway, there are three programs to choose from. 

Finance, Accounting & Analytics – Sydney

You'll complete four rotations across 24 months in areas including Group Finance, Product Finance & Divisional Finance teams, Group Treasury, Climate Strategy, Investor Relations, Capital & Stress Testing, Data & Analytics teams, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Audit. 

You’ll work on projects that support our Board, CEO and CFO, as well as business areas across the Group. As finance business partners, you will provide valuable analysis and insights to assist Management in their decision making We will also support you in gaining professional accreditations and set you up for success with leadership development initiatives and exposure. 

After the program, you could begin your career in any of the above teams.

Business Banking Commercial - Major Client Group, Commercial Banking, Small Business Banking – Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast

You'll complete three rotations across 12-15 months. You’ll have a direct impact on our customers and the community working directly to support our business clients across Australia, providing them with financial solutions to bring their visions to life – everything from start-ups to listed companies. 

You’ll develop your skills in credit analysis, financial modelling, interpretation of customer’s financial information, and managing the end-to-end lending process. 

At the end of the Program, you will transition into an Analyst role, this is a pivotal and is a great pathway to ensure you’ll be future ready to step into other roles within Business Banking.   

Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) – Sydney & Melbourne

Our structured 12-month program begins with a four week ‘Early Talent Academy’ designed to provide you with a deep dive into the business and the skills you need to succeed.

You’ll then experience three rotations over 12 months, two within client facing teams, and one specialty rotation in either a Green, Technology and Transformation, or Enablement team. 

You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of IB&M, benefiting from making live deals and trades while interacting with our institutional clients. You may also have the opportunity to obtain international exposure and work experience post program. You’ll work on high profile projects where you can influence others. 

After the program, you'll have the opportunity to move into an Associate level role in Client Solutions, Capital Structuring, Commodities, Trade & Carbon, Global Markets, Non-Financial Risk & Conduct, Chief Operating Office or Quants, Data, Analytics and Technology.
