Your role

As a Marketing Intern, you will support the Marketing team in implementing marketing strategies and campaigns. You will be involved in various tasks, including social media management, marketing administrative duties, and assisting with other marketing initiatives. 

Job Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

  • Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Monitor and respond to social media interactions, comments, and messages.
  • Help develop social media strategies to increase engagement and followers.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and provide reports.

Content Creation:

  • Help create engaging and relevant content for blogs, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Assist in writing compelling copy for various marketing materials, including newsletters, brochures, and website content.
  • Assist in creating and editing short videos and multimedia content for social media and other digital platforms.
  • Assist in developing content ideas and outlines for blog posts, articles, and other written materials.
  • Research industry trends and topics to create relevant and timely content.
  • Help in optimizing content for SEO and ensure it aligns with brand guidelines.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Gather and analyze data to support marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Marketing Administrative Tasks:

  • Support the Marketing team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare marketing materials and documents.

Other Marketing Tasks:

  • Support email marketing campaigns, including drafting and scheduling emails.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new marketing ideas and initiatives.
  • Help with miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the Marketing team.

About you

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in social media and digital marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent understanding of various social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Knowledge of copywriting and editing.
  • Good research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Creative mindset and a willingness to learn.

System Requirements:

  • At least 15mbps for main internet and at least 10mbps for backup.
  • A desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 8 GB RAM and an i3 processor for backup.
  • Note: Back-ups should still be able to function when there is a power interruption.
  • A webcam and noise-canceling USB Headset.
  • Quiet, dedicated home office.
