I feel like CSC is rather diverse and wouldn't discriminate based on any of these protected attributes.

I believe one of the more generous approaches towards inclusivity, including recruitment, promotion, child care and leave. However, as I only fit into a few of these categories, my experience is likely very different from other employees, especially those belonging to ethnic minorities who may be facing microaggressions daily in addition to other forms of discrimination that don't effect me. I have experienced and heard from others that they have similarly experienced some microaggressions for being women from male staff. The business and management have been very receptive to feedback when this has occurred.

In my experience women and the LGBT community are very well represented across the Australian Public Service, although this does depend on the subject matter of each area.

We have a dedicated corporate diversity team that focuses on specialist recruitment e.g. indigenous Australians and people with a disability. We have an indigenous staff network which is quite active Flexible working arrangements and generous maternity leave schemes enable greater participation of women in the Department

The Department is generally generous regarding maternity leave and carer's leave. The Department recruits Indigenous officers through targeted pathways each year. More women are being promoted, however there are still fewer women at the highest levels.

Parents are given access to flexible working arrangements and retention appears good. Gender diversity appears to be good in the executive.
