Average but my work is more than just money.
Graduate, Canberra - 18 Nov 2022
Very satisfied. After we finish the graduate programme, we are promoted to APS 5s, which is a significant raise!
Graduate, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
The pay at APS 3 level is really quite low. Following that, it's on the low side of average but a vast improvement.
Graduate, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development has a generally lower pay scale than most other Departments, but it is still very good in my opinion.
Graduate, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
The Department is not that well paid compared to other APS departments. My particular position carries a lot of responsibility that is not reflected by pay.
Midlevel, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
The Department is one of the lowest paid in the Australian Public Service and better alignment with other comparable agencies would be welcome.
Graduate, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
In comparison to other Federal Departments, Infrastructure is at the lower end of the scale for pay. However, we have generous allowances to compensate, including generous personal leave.
Midlevel, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
I get decent pay and good conditions. As a government employee it is easy for me to take leave and I am paid a greater amount of super than most other jobs. The take home pay is decent, and increases after I finish my graduate year. I do not get bonuses, but this is not really an issue for me.
Graduate, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
No bonuses. The pay is one of the lowest of all the Government departments, but still good pay once you finish the graduate program.
Entry level, Brisbane - 13 Jul 2015
No bonuses but pay is very good for the work required
Midlevel, Canberra - 13 Jul 2015
I am very satisfied with my salary. Further, at the end of the graduate year we get a significant promotion and pay rise.
