What you will do:
The Global Trade practice focuses on a variety of industries and the team combines knowledge and experience to assist clients in determining and implementing appropriate global trade strategies and identifying potential risk areas.
As an Intern in their Global Trade practice, your role will include:
Researching complex customs and international trade issues.
Advising clients on customs compliance issues, potential duty savings strategies, and export control compliance.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to global trade matters.
Assisting in developing and delivering quality planning ideas with timely and responsive services and high-quality work products.
Staying current on global trade developments and working to develop new and innovative service offerings that can provide value to their clients.
Contributing to client satisfaction by promptly and effectively responding to client needs and concerns and bringing innovative ideas to the table.
Participating in client meetings and working within teams to deliver fully integrated services.
About you
Required Qualifications:
A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; or an advanced degree in Tax or Law; supported by a strong academic record.
A demonstratable plan for passing the CPA exam, a US state Bar exam, or other professional designation or equivalent foreign certification.
Excellent project management, interpersonal, communication, teaming, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride-share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master’s degree, JD, or plans to pursue a CPA.
Proficiency in a technology-enabled environment.
Compensation & benefits
The hourly pay range for this job is $34.62 - $60.10.
