Your role

What you will do:

Indirect Transaction Tax services focus on the income/franchise and indirect tax aspects of tax due diligence and structuring, bankruptcy and restructurings, as well as pre-and post-transaction integrations.

As an Intern on the Indirect Transactions team, your role will include:

  • Performing due diligence, including review of tax returns, financials, and other documentation to identify and quantify potential state income and non-income tax risks.
  • Researching complex tax issues and developing quality, practical tax approaches.
  • Contributing to client satisfaction by promptly and effectively responding to client needs and concerns.
  • Participating in client meetings and working within teams to deliver fully integrated services.
  • Actively strengthening your tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments.
  • Developing and delivering timely, high-quality services and work products.

About you

Job requirements and preferences:

  • A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, International Business or a related field; or an advanced degree in Tax or Law.
  • A strong academic record including, without limitation, coursework that EY deems relevant to this position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work more than standard hours when necessary.
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride-share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

Preferred qualifications:

Superior project management, interpersonal, communication, teaming and organizational skills.

Compensation & benefits

The hourly pay range for this role can range from $48.08 - $62.50.
