While in training at the company's headquarters in Amsterdam, I have received detailed instruction in the methodology and approach of the company, from a global perspective down to all the little details and differences from desk to desk and product to product. We practice on and familiarize ourselves with the company's high-quality in-house software and learn directly from experienced traders to prepare us for entry into the stock market. On top of classes and assignments, new hires are also encouraged to develop, back-test, and implement new trading strategies, not only as a useful exercise but really with the goal of identifying new potential revenue streams for the company. As a relatively young firm in the company, there is a very entrepreneurial climate and, despite the extremely flat corporate structure, this allows new hires to quickly take on a great deal of responsibility.
