Job Description

We are an expanding fresh food retail business with 30 stores across NSW and QLD. For over 40 years we’ve remained 100% family-owned and operated, this means we are agile, innovative, and implement ideas rapidly. We are also home to almost 3,000 wonderful Harris Farmers, all with a common purpose, to reconnect Aussies with the joy of food.

The Role

We are looking for an HR Graduate to join our team and learn the ropes as an HR Generalist. You will get broad experience in a broad range of activities including ER case management, learning, and development, resourcing and recruitment, succession planning, talent management, organizational design, engagement, embedding our culture including inclusion and diversity, and system/process improvement.

This role suits someone who would enjoy a multi-site based role, involving travel to our stores and sites which are mainly in metro NSW with a small number of regional stores.

Skills & Experience

  • Studying or has completed a degree in Human Resources.
  • Eager to build skills in mediation, grievance resolution, and ER case management.
  • Team player, approachable and genuine.
  • Access to a car as you will be expected to travel to our stores and sites regularly.
  • Willingness to travel interstate as we are expanding and this may involve some overnight stays in delivering recruitment assessment centers, onboarding days, and support of new store/site openings. Most of our stores will be in metro areas.
  • Agile and adaptable, with an ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Creative problem-solving.
  • Resilient.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to balance conflicting priorities.
  • A passionate foodie? This is not essential, but it means you will love working for us!

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So, if you think you could be a Harris Farmer, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.
