IPART provides independent regulatory decisions and advice to protect and promote the ongoing interests of NSW's consumers, taxpayers, and citizens. They are the independent regulator for the water, public transport, local government, electricity and gas industries, and the Energy Savings Scheme in NSW. IPART also undertakes reviews and investigations into a wide range of economic and policy issues and performs a number of other roles at the NSW Government’s request.

You can help the team solve difficult economic and technical problems, such as how to make childcare more affordable, how to pay for the services and infrastructure provided by councils and water utilities, how to make sure that drinking water and electricity infrastructure remains safe, and how to ensure the integrity of the certificates created through the NSW Energy Sustainability Schemes.
You will be contributing to the important decision-making process through daily activities like analysing the latest data, conducting research and evaluating policies. The organisation is small enough that your voice will be heard by the senior executives and decision-makers, and large enough that you will encounter a diverse range of topics and projects. The office is in Central Sydney and the expected start date is February 2024.
The Graduate Analyst conducts data analysis, produces reports, provides support and assists with relevant activities necessary to provide strategic/policy advice and regulatory pricing and/or compliance work. The role assists in the delivery of research, technical analysis, reports, briefings, presentations and projects.
