Join KPMG Canada's Risk Services as a Co-op student, focusing on actuarial consulting and risk management.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in engagement teams providing pension and HR advice.
  • Analyzing defined benefit plan financial statement disclosures.
  • Calculating benefit entitlements for pension plan members.
  • Compiling and analyzing actuarial assumption data.
  • Supporting projects such as acquisitions and valuations.

About You:

Candidates should have:

  • 3rd or 4th year university status in mathematics, finance, or actuarial science.
  • Completion of at least one preliminary Society of Actuaries exam.
  • Knowledge of life contingencies and financial mathematics.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and valuation systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Motivation and ability to prioritize work in an entrepreneurial environment.
