Your role

KPMG Forensics is a core part of KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice, which helps clients to improve risk intelligence and decision-making, protect financial and reputational assets, and enhance business value through a range of trusted, digitally powered, and forward-thinking solutions for navigating business risks.

Forensic Disputes & Investigations (Core):

Using cutting-edge technology and court-tested methodologies, KPMG Forensic professionals help clients manage the risks of fraud, misconduct, and regulatory non-compliance; maintain organizational integrity; manage reputational risk; address and simplify issues related to litigation (including avoidance); and limit financial exposure to loss. They help uncover the facts and create clarity when people and organizations do not agree, or where financial and business behavior does not comply with expectations.

By joining Forensic Core (Disputes & Investigations), you can offer support after an incident to help their clients investigate allegations of fraud and misconduct, quantify losses in a commercial dispute, provide expert witness services, and recover damages.

Financial Crimes:

KPMG’s financial crimes professionals help clients understand how money launderers and financiers of terrorism could be exploiting vulnerabilities in their organizations. They work with clients to identify, manage, and mitigate their money laundering / terrorist financing risk exposures in line with legislative requirements and industry best practices.

About you

You strive to make a meaningful and positive difference alongside your peers, to work collaboratively and with innovation at the forefront. You’re passionate about being involved in your local community and post-secondary institution and have a proven ability to achieve personal and professional success while being curious as you learn emerging practices and technologies.

  • University student working towards a professional designation (CPA, CA).

Financial Crimes:

  • Interest in financial crime trends in the industry
  • Interest in the financial services sector (understanding the different products/services/channels is an asset)
  • Knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF laws and regulations is an asset
