Your Role:

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Collaborate with the Audit Services team to conduct financial statement audits.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of client financial information.
  • Develop an understanding of client-specific risks and business trends.
  • Prepare clear audit documentation on client processes and technology systems.
  • Execute and document testing of client controls and financial statement balances.
  • Support high-quality audit execution and professional client interactions.
  • Utilize data analysis tools like AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
  • Uphold KPMG's values of integrity, professionalism, and responsibility.  

About You:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Accountancy.
  • Educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business.
  • A preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Coursework or experience in information systems, software engineering, or data analytics.
  • Knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and ability to learn KPMG Audit tools.
  • Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Residency within a commutable distance to the office and ability to travel as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without employment-based sponsorship.  

Compensation & Benefits:

KPMG offers a competitive salary range of $74,000 - $85,000 in California, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) plans, and personal well-being benefits.
