Join KPMG's dynamic team as a Tax Intern in the Commercial Japanese practice, providing innovative tax solutions.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in advising clients on corporate tax services, including compliance, planning, and research.
  • Preparing corporate tax returns for Japanese-owned companies in the U.S.
  • Assisting with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740 and IAS 12) on financial statements.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide tax services to Japanese-based companies.
  • Building capabilities in key technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.

About You:

Candidates must:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing degrees in accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, IT, data and analytics, or engineering.
  • Preferably have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Be bilingual in English and Japanese.
  • Have coursework or a minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics.
  • Demonstrate strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Reside within a commutable distance to the office and be able to travel as needed.
  • Have authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits:

California Salary Range: $72,000 - $85,000. KPMG offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plans, and personal well-being benefits. Personal Time Off and firmwide breaks are provided annually.
