Join KPMG as an Audit Intern, conducting financial audits and supporting federal government clients.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits.
  • Ensuring accuracy and reliability of client financial information.
  • Developing an understanding of client-specific risks.
  • Preparing clear audit documentation.
  • Executing and documenting testing of client controls and financial statement account balances.
  • Supporting the use of Data and Analytics in audits.
  • Utilizing technologies like AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and Power BI.

About You:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Accountancy.
  • Pursuing CPA licensure requirements.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics preferred.
  • Eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance.
  • Knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
