Your role

KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for their Federal Supply Chain & Operations practice in Consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Help execute and develop processes and strategy improvements across multiple supply chain and operations disciplines to include (note: Given the extensive amount of disciplines it is acceptable to focus on specific areas):
    • Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement Optimization, Order Fulfillment, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Business Process Redesign, Reverse Logistics, Continuous Process Improvement, E-Commerce and Supply Chain Risk Management
  • Support service delivery and/or software implementation projects within the supply chain continuum
  • Develop and sustain relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services
  • Contribute to the design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner
  • Complete quantitative and qualitative analysis in a structured and scalable format

About you

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent program
  • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
  • Ability to assess, improve, and reconstruct the information, physical and financial flows across the various client functions
  • Working knowledge of procurement, supply chain, E-commerce, or life sciences operations; and interest and aptitude for technology such as Coupa, Ivalua, JDA, Oracle Commerce Cloud, and Ariba
  • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and quantitative skills, and proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work
  • Applicant must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office/client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
  • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
