KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Intern to join their International Tax practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Global Trade Technology solutions implementation, including the design, Build, training, testing and deployment stages of each project
  • Write business blueprint and functional design specification documents, perform system configuration, testing and provide end-user training to prepare the business users for successfully using Global Trade solutions in their daily trade and compliance activities
  • Work with clients' business resources to introduce innovative changes to how they conduct their business, encompassing changes to people, processes and technology
  • Collaborate with clients' technology resources in the technical deployment of the Global Trade application, to include an emphasis on knowledge transfer so the client can become self-sufficient
  • Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more

About you

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Masters in Business (Supply Chain, Logistics, or other business-related major), Computer Science and Engineering or related degree, or equivalent program
  • Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work
  • Completion of SAP-related courses or any prior SAP experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx and Power BI
  • Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future is preferred
