KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Intern to join their International Tax practice.
Responsibilities:
Support Global Trade Technology solutions implementation, including the design, Build, training, testing and deployment stages of each project
Write business blueprint and functional design specification documents, perform system configuration, testing and provide end-user training to prepare the business users for successfully using Global Trade solutions in their daily trade and compliance activities
Work with clients' business resources to introduce innovative changes to how they conduct their business, encompassing changes to people, processes and technology
Collaborate with clients' technology resources in the technical deployment of the Global Trade application, to include an emphasis on knowledge transfer so the client can become self-sufficient
Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more
About you
Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Masters in Business (Supply Chain, Logistics, or other business-related major), Computer Science and Engineering or related degree, or equivalent program
Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access
Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work
Completion of SAP-related courses or any prior SAP experience is preferred but not required
Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx and Power BI
Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation
Ability to travel domestically and internationally and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future is preferred
