Join KPMG's dynamic team as a Tax Associate in the Commercial Japanese practice, providing innovative tax solutions.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on corporate tax services, including compliance, planning, and research.
  • Preparing corporate tax returns for Japanese-owned companies in the U.S.
  • Assisting with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740 and IAS 12) on financial statements.
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide tax services to Japanese-based companies.
  • Building capabilities in technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.

 About You:

Candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, IT, data and analytics, or engineering, completed within the past 12 months.
  • Pursuit of CPA state-specific education requirements.
  • A preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Japanese.
  • Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, and MS Office skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel and work on-site as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship preferred.
