What does the job look like?

The Junior Expense Officer plays a pivotal role in the Cost function managing Concur Expenses and being the central point of contact for queries and reporting. The role is responsible for managing the SAP Concur platform, including upgrades, CI initiatives and business partnering with the supplier.

The primary responsibility of the Junior Expense Officer is to ensure that all expenses across the group are closed out in a timely matter

Key areas:

  • Manage the end-to-end Linfox corporate card program including the administration and audit program.
  • Identify and investigate issues. Partner with internal stakeholders (employees, security team, sites) and external stakeholder (AMEX, ANZ, Government bodies).
  • Maintain policies and procedures on cost management including expenses policies and work closely with security to monitor fraudulent activity.
  • Develop and execute regular expense reporting across all streams in the Business Units.
  • Complete month end activities including clearing journals, blackline reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Payment of Fines and assisting Expense Management Team Lead with coding and Amex/Visa payments for coverage
  • Consolidate vendor uploads in SAP in a timely manner prior to Friday pay run and month end.

You are early in your career who is eager to learn and up for a challenge. Ideally, we prefer the candidate who has analytical mindset and is passionate to think outside the box. You can demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Reconciliation skills and journal entry experience (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of working operational challenges and working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Tech-savvy, with a love for data and efficiency and improving processes
  • Good Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
