I'm Sam and I've been part of the Mainfreight Development Program since early 2024.

Having studied Aviation Management and Commerce at UNSW, I’ve always been passionate about the transport and operations industry. The opportunity to work for a global logistics company that spans well beyond aviation, combined with my interest in geopolitics and travel, made Mainfreight the ideal place to grow both personally and professionally.

My journey with Mainfreight began in the Sydney Ocean Freight Import team, where I gained hands-on experience and built strong relationships across our European and South East Asian branches. I later joined the fast-paced Export team, where I continued expanding my operational skills, supply chain knowledge, and global network — all while working closely with our customers to help move cargo efficiently and improve their operations.

This experience led me to my current role in New Business Development at our Sydney branch. In this position, I focus on identifying new opportunities, connecting with prospective customers, and helping businesses find smarter, more sustainable ways to manage their supply chains. It’s a fast-paced and rewarding role where I can apply my industry knowledge, people skills, and commercial thinking to create long-term value for new clients and for Mainfreight.

Looking ahead, one of my biggest goals is to gain international experience. With Mainfreight’s extensive global footprint, I’m excited by the opportunity to take my career overseas and continue learning in new markets.
