The Mastercard Launch program is aimed at early career talent, to help you develop skills and gain cross-functional work experience. Over a period of 18 months, Launch participants will be assigned to a business unit, learn and develop skills, and gain valuable on-the-job experience. 

Overview

Mastercard’s Associate Analyst, Business Development role sits within Mastercard’s broader Business & Market Development teams. This team is responsible for growing Mastercard’s revenue by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new or existing customers & markets. We are focused on growing our market share, acceptance, and number of customer touchpoints in our regional footprint. Our Associate Analyst, Business Development will join our Sydney TechHub to further achieve these goals.

Role 

In this role, you will:

  • Use analytical problem-solving and data tools to advise senior team members regarding Customer Account Management and market strategies
  • Support project execution across multiple business functions including account management, business development, advertising, marketing and product management
  • Participate in business conversations with key decision-makers internally and externally
  • Act as key resource lead on segments or parts of small projects.
  • Contribute to the delivery of integrated solutions that address customer needs
  • Support the sales team, internal partners and key stakeholders to provide support to sales in a region
  • Create and review sales presentations, proposals and internal business case development
  • Work closely and develops relationships with internal stakeholders across the business unit

All About You 

The ideal candidate for this position should: 

  • Class of 2024 students pursuing a Masters's/bachelor’s degree in your final year.
  • Business experience or educational background in industries such as financial services, consumer products, consulting, marketing, technology, or communications
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects concurrently, while meeting deadlines
  • Works successfully and cooperatively in a team atmosphere
  • Uses insights drawn from data analytics to add value to a customer servicing team
