The Mastercard Launch program is aimed at early career talent, to help you develop skills and gain cross-functional work experience. Over a period of 18 months, Launch participants will be assigned to a business unit, learn and develop skills, and gain valuable on the job experience. 

Overview 

The Information Security team is looking for an Information Security Engineer I, responsible for collaborating with technical and business stakeholders advising on our security standards, policies and industry trends to help the business and customers succeed. The candidate will also be responsible for providing technical guidance as part of product and engineering design review sessions. This role will also involve developing and building strong relationships to share knowledge and influence security objectives while being inclusive to all stake holders.

Role 

In this role you will:

• Develop an understanding of security policies and regulatory compliance (i.e. PCI, GDPR)
• Develop technical aptitude on complex technologies and strategies.
• Support Senior Engineer & Engineer team members on project-related tasks and implementations.
• References security policies, industry best practices, and compliance requirements
• Ability to learn new and complex technologies and strategies.
• Responds and completes business as usual activities as defined by their job responsibilities.
• Supports the creation of front-line metrics to ensure all controls are being met as defined.

All About You: 

The ideal candidate for this position should: 

• Graduating Seniors – class of 2024.
• Analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Sound written and verbal communication skills.
• Have had some exposure to security, including network and internet systems security.
• Experience in technical skills (i.e code development, platform management, sys admin, etc..), understanding of security services (authentication, vulnerability management, security log monitoring), and softer communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet project constraints (budget, deadlines, etc.).
• Ability to adapt to working collaboratively in a team atmosphere.
