Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

Business Enablement is a part of the Global Data Management and Standards (GDMS) division within Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO), and we are seeking applicants for our intern position. The internship program would help the individual utilize their skillset, increase their professional productivity, and provide them with a chance to see if our Company is the right company for their long-term goals. An ideal candidate for this position will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, efficient time management expertise, and an ability to work in a team and handle conflicts efficiently.

The intern will engage with the Business Enablement organization (a division within GDMS) and their associated project teams throughout participation in activities with the Business System Owners and the Reginal Business System Leads.

Activities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist organizational efforts to simplify and standardize global processes
  • Develop tools to enhance the conduct of Business Enablement’s day-to-day activities
  • Generate process maps and process workflows
  • Develop effective communications to support projects and activities
  • Identify areas for process improvement, implement a solution, and measure the effectiveness of the implementation plan

Required Education:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BA degree program in computer science, continuous improvement, or science-related discipline.

Required Skills:

  • Candidates must be able to commit to full-time onsite (or hybrid if applicable) employment for 10 - 12 weeks beginning June 2025
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Including MS Teams. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, DB Access, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of web development and/or SharePoint preferred (but not mandatory)
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Efficient time management expertise
  • Ability to work with a diverse team of professionals

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day unless business-critical tasks require an on-site presence.  This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, that this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as “remote”.
