Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. Participation in this program provides hands-on learning, development opportunities, and insight into a future career. 

The Patient Innovation and Engagement (PI&E) Team is accepting candidates pursuing a summer internship with an interest in patient engagement and a desire to further understand the patient experience. Patient engagement is the active, meaningful, authentic, and collaborative interaction between patients/patient organizations and our company over the entire medicine lifecycle, with the goal of achieving relevant and measurable patient and societal health outcomes.

Internship Focus:

The focus for this internship is to support the PI&E Strategy lead with the:

  • Development, review, and deployment of data & analytics
  • Implementation of strategic solutions that integrate the patient voice into decision-making
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues to ensure the successful execution of the identified project(s)

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, knowledge, and understanding of computer systems, and software applications. The candidate should have a tech-savvy mindset with a passion for staying updated with technological advancements and feel comfortable brainstorming improved ways of working.

Education and Requirements:

  • Applicants must be in the process of earning a BA or BS in Business, Information Sciences, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related program with a focus on digital, data, and analytics
  • Earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Power Project)
  • Available to work full time for 3 months (June – August)
  • Collaborative and positive mindset

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day unless business-critical tasks require an on-site presence.  This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, that this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as “remote”.
