Your role

Morgan Stanley is offering a 6-month Off-Cycle Internship Program with the Fund Services Team. Interns will work with the Client Computing Solutions (CCS) team, which creates specialized tools to solve complex and error-prone business issues in areas such as investor allocation and regulatory reporting. The role involves developing customized solutions, understanding intricate business processes, and applying technical skills in a finance and accounting context. Candidates should have strong analytical abilities, programming skills, and knowledge of finance and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Understand the hedge fund administration business.
• Expected to suggest enhancements in the existing processes.
• Understand the problem statement and design the solution which must be flexible to incorporate changes and scalable.
• Understand and help in documenting tools built for client processes.
• Collaborate with other teams for knowledge transfer and implementation of solutions.
• Comfortable taking on multiple roles such as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, and Developer.

About you

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. or an equivalent engineering degree along with an MBA.
• Demonstrated programming skills in any language and willingness to learn Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
• Candidates appearing for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification would be advantageous.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with knowledge of financial concepts.
• Ability to understand and evaluate complex situations quickly.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the drive to look for ways to improve operational efficiency.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and to take them forward independently.
• Hands-on experience with Excel-VBA.
• Ability to work with a team, to discuss ideas, and to collaborate.
