Both managers I've had are very accessible either in person or over teams. They are very supportive on my development, no complaints.

They always do what the joint venture want. Sometimes the business don't look at the effort that people do to, they only look if the production is low or high. If the production is good, everything will be good, however, when production is low they say the Engineers are not doing the right thing, they say this without looking to the whole picture. We do things today that we will only see the results a years later, but still, they think sometimes they Engineers are not doing enough. Also the company is going though restructure and some employees are worried about losing the job. So as a graduate I thin: How are they going to hire me if someone just got redundant?!

At Origin Energy, managers are generally very accessible and approachable. They encourage open communication and are always willing to provide guidance and support. This accessibility is particularly evident in the regular 1:1 meetings that employees have with their managers, which are recommended to be held monthly. Managers are expected to provide regular feedback and have performance discussions with their team members. Managers at Origin Energy also make excellent mentors. The company has a structured mentoring program, the Career@Origin Mentoring Program, which pairs employees with mentors to support their career and development journey.

Access to managers is good.

I've recently moved to a new team, so I don't yet have a full understanding of how things will go with my new manager. However, based on initial impressions, I'm hopeful that they will be accessible and supportive. I haven't had enough time to assess their approach to mentoring, internal communication, or providing feedback, but I look forward to seeing how they engage with the team and offer guidance as I settle into my role
