If a course is beneficial to development for grads it's almost always allowed. Graduate training budget is awesome.

Very happy with the training that I've received, there is a grad budget and training that interests you can be undertaken (as long as it will be used in the workplace). Would be good to have more training opportunities presented to us, sometimes hard to know what training is happening.

Not too many trainings. You learn things by doing the work. This is good because you learn quickly, however, if the person that teaches you doesn't know things too much you will also be like that person. I think the best way is to learn from people that have a good knowledge and is good to teach, which most of the case it doesn't apply here. I wish I could have good trainings before starting a rotation, so I would learn how to do things on the right way since the begning.

Training is available if it aligns with the objective of team. Selective training or professional development for the sake of learning is not prioritised

As a Graduate Engineer at Origin Energy, I am quite satisfied with the formal and informal training and development opportunities offered in my role. The company provides a comprehensive Graduate Program that includes three rotations of 12 months each, allowing me to gain a wide range of experiences and skills across different areas of the business. Additionally, Origin Energy supports professional development through various training courses, workshops, and mentorship programs. For example, I have the opportunity to enroll in relevant training courses to enhance my process engineering knowledge and work closely with senior engineers for hands-on experience and mentorship.

Currently I have only done my ISI training, however there seems to be other training available. I have heard that access to training can be very budget/team dependent.

As a finance graduate, I've previously benefited from multiple training sessions throughout the year, which were very helpful in developing my skills. However, it seems like the company is changing its approach and potentially cancelling some of these training opportunities, which I find challenging, as they were crucial to my development. We do have some online e-learning modules, which can still be helpful for reference or to refresh knowledge.

Training has been fantastic. Skills I've picked up - excel, budget build, tableau, presentation, EOM tasks - journals, SAP, Bank reconciliation, business partnering.

In graduate program, you get to change into different roles, so there is a lot of opportunity for training and upskilling quite often, plus you get a budget for training every year.

likedin learning/online MOOC courses are extensively available to help improve productivity and the breadth of skills (from communication to coding and everything in between). Development training in the graduate program has helped me to understand more about myself and how to be the best team member when collaborating.   Being exposed to a broad technical community is great to be exposed and have the opportunity to collaborate.
