Currently working a 2:2 roster, 12 hour days. If working an office based role, it's 38 hours a week.
Graduate, Brisbane - 26 Mar 2025
Work hours are 38 hours per week and it's rare that more than that is required and certainly not asked for but if trying to finish some work for the week no overtime will be paid but this is fair as it's voluntary. Site trips do end up being longer hours and there is no clear directive on time in lieu, this is usually up to your manager. Working from home is also an option but working in office requirements are increasing.

Quite flexible.

Origin used to be quite flexible, we could WFH 3x days a week. However, the company has just requested that everyone attend the office 4x days a week, which is now too much, because the days I work from the office there is too much distraction. When I WFH my productivity is much better.

Very flexible, one of the great perks about being at Origin is that lead managers are understanding of employees lives

The company is very flexible in working arrangements, but it is underlyingly expected to come in earlier and finish at the same time. Remote work initially was 40% (in office) which is great, but the company has decided they don't want to allow this anymore and are increasing it to 80% (in office)

Very flexible with WFH as well as office hours.

Employer is changing WFH from 2 days in the office to four in a years time.

the work hours and flexibility are designed to support a healthy work-life balance while ensuring productivity and collaboration. The company offers a hybrid working model, which combines the benefits of working both remotely and in the office. For traditionally office-based roles, employees are currently expected to spend at least 40% of their time in the office each calendar month, which equates to a minimum of two days per week for full-time employees1. This requirement will increase to 60% of the working week from July 2025 and to 80% from March 2026, allowing for one day of remote work per week.

Very flexible. The option to work from home is available and start and finish times are not set, as long as all required work is completed on time
Graduate, Brisbane - 18 Mar 2025
I generally work 38-43 hours per week. The start and finish time is very flexible and can vary day-to-day, which is demonstrated across my team where some like to start and finish early and others prefer a later start but will continue working later in the afternoon/early evening. We have the option to work remotely from home 60% of the time (2 days in the office per week), however this is changing and we will be required to work in the office 80% of the time (4 out of 5 days a week), which is much less flexible.

Currently, with 40% office attendance, the flexibility of remote and hybrid work has allowed for a better work-life balance. However, with the recent changes increasing office attendance, it may become challenging to maintain this balance. The shift back to a more traditional office-based model conflicts with the new working styles that many of us have adapted to, and may create difficulties in managing both personal and professional responsibilities

60% in office, site based role so hours vary depending on shutdowns

work hours: 38-40 hours most weeks. Very flexible as of now (March 2025) in terms of hybrid working 40% office attendance. Three days of working from home saves a lot of travel time and expenses. This will change in 2026 when office attendance increases to 80% per week and will need to adjust arrangements and may need to give up some personal commitments.

One of the main benefits was being able to work in office 40% of the month. But it is being increased to 80% in office (only one day a week or less WFH). So a lot of flexibility is being reduced.

can work from home a lot which gives hour back in the day from commuting and flexibility for life eg. if you need to duck out during the day
