Council’s City Strategy unit is responding to the challenge – building and transforming the team to plan for a culturally, socially, environmentally and economically sustainable City.
The City Strategy Unit is a multi-disciplinary team with an agile operating model, which ensures we can target the strategic response to the City’s opportunities and challenges. This approach is suited to those who are accustomed to fast-paced working environments and can quickly change focus or prioritise their work program as needed. This role is in the Innovation Team, dedicated to assisting Council to find new and better ways to serve the community. The team consists of multi-disciplinary professionals from a range of backgrounds to best fulfil this.
The Graduate Project Officer will work collaboratively to assist the delivery of major projects and strategic programs within City Strategy, in a way that is consistent with Council’s values of customer focus, innovation, teamwork and integrity.
The Graduate Project Officer role is designed for University, TAFE (or equivalent) graduates who have recently (within 6-12 months) completed their study, or are about to graduate, and are looking to develop their experience within Council.
This role is full-time however, we can consider 3-4 days a week if you are in the final year of full-time study. The role is a valuable opportunity to work with experienced staff to help launch your career.
Applicants will ideally have a background in innovation but may come from a wide range of disciplines. It is more important they are enthusiastic, driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently, to deliver positive outcomes. Applicants should expect to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. This role will suit a person with a positive and proactive can-do attitude, who is creatively minded, achieves outcomes and can problem solve.

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $80,050.84 to $88,157.86 (salary + super).
