Your Role

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Prosple, youโ€™ll be responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving revenue growth within your assigned market segmentโ€”whether SME, Mid-Market, or Enterprise. Youโ€™ll be the tip of the spear in our commercial strategy, hunting for new leads, developing relationships, and closing deals.

Weโ€™re looking for candidates with previous experience as an SDR or in a similar appointment-setting role, who are ready to move into full-cycle sales and manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing. We will consider those with no experience if super smart and with the right attitude. This is a true hunter role, where success will be driven by your ability to identify and convert new opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:
    Use a combination of cold outreach, networking, and inbound inquiries to build a robust pipeline of prospects within your assigned market segment.
  • Sales Cycle Management:
    Manage the entire sales cycle, from qualifying leads to delivering presentations, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. Move prospects through the pipeline and maintain an active CRM log for each opportunity.
  • Targeted Outreach Campaigns:
    Utilize Prospleโ€™s proprietary data and market insights to target companies that will benefit most from our platform, focusing on Gen-Z recruitment solutions. Tailor your approach to each customer based on their unique needs and challenges.
  • Collaboration with Marketing & SDR Teams:
    Work closely with the SDR team to receive qualified leads and help develop targeted campaigns with the marketing team to drive top-of-funnel activity.
  • Accurate CRM Management:
    Ensure that all leads and activities are logged in Zoho CRM accurately, providing clear data for forecasting and tracking pipeline velocity.
  • Represent Prosple at Events:
    Attend industry conferences and events to showcase our platform, network with decision-makers, and generate new leads.

Pros

It is both rewarding and challenging working for such an organisation, and seems to be a new innovation each week. Our organisational structure is quite flat, with each team member having a direct line to our Founders and Directors.

  • Having a high-performing team committed to our cause, with the freedom to do your best work without bureaucracy and people getting in your way.

  • Love that the ownership knows well where their priorities lie, that they don't succumb to the toxic "everything is a priority" trap that a huge majority of companies fall into. This has kept the company hyper focused, allowing it to achieve milestones one after the other, even amidst the pandemic. Also, borrowing from the book "Conscious Capitalism", Prosple has all the markings of a conscious company.

  • 100% remote work, flexible working hours, easy to interact with leaders and owners, possibility to suggest features to the product, participate along with leaders in the decisions, work on a product that actually helps others.

  • Superb company culture. High standards. Responsive to their employees needs and gives high importance to open communication. Prosple has a heart for all its clients and its team.

Cons

    • There can be some late nights during peak seasons from increased workloads.

    • Very occasionally, the sheer pace of Prosple's progress and growth can be fatiguing. Which is actually a positive if you're in the right mindset and have the right skills and attitude to embrace it.

    • Due to the nature of work (100% remote), it is difficult to get to know everyone

    • Work life balance can be challenging when everyone is such a high performer and expectations are high

    • Sometimes I had a hard time on looking for resources to use to do my job.
