Your role

PwC aspires to build a team of data professionals with the ability to apply their knowledge in helping clients solve their business challenges while future-proofing their business. Data Engineering:

  • A data engineer is responsible for collecting, managing, and transforming raw data into information that can be consumed and interpreted downstream by end users, facilitated by data scientists and business analysts.
  • Your ultimate goal is to enable organizations to utilize their data for performance evaluation and optimization.

Data Management and Governance:

  • A data management professional develops and governs data-oriented systems designed to meet the needs of an organization or research team.
  • Key areas of work include data quality, metadata, master data management, and creation of data catalogs to name a few.

Data Science:

  • A data scientist’s primary job is to extract actionable insights of value from data.
  • You will work with data to get it into proper form amenable for analysis, understand the business problem, translate requirements into technical requirements, and ensure use cases see the light of day.

BI and Data Visualization:

  • Perform work across diverse industries and projects ranging from developing organizational strategies for analytics to building sophisticated data architectures and analytical models.
  • Analyze and interpret large volumes of data using proprietary and open-source data tools, platforms, and analytical toolkits.
  • Translate complex findings into simple language and communicate them to internal and external stakeholders.

Data Generalist and Analytics-focused Business Analyst:

  • A business analyst plays a key role across the lifecycle of an analytics project, analyzing data and providing insights that can help stakeholders make better business decisions.
  • You will work closely with data analysts to collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, and collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit analytics requirements.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.

Training and development

Work-Study Programmes (WSP) at SMU provide opportunities for students to undergo longer internship durations to better interlace classroom learning with structured on-the-job training. Students will alternate working at least four days and studying on campus for one day each week for a minimum of 20 weeks. Students will have the opportunity to rotate within one or more divisions at the bank - Group Finance, Group Legal and Compliance, and Group Audit.
