Your role

This internship is a strategic position as the intern will deal with various high visibility projects, working in collaboration with different organizations. The role will be to support the sales team with its daily activities, but also to bring new ideas on how to take advantage of all the data at their disposition. The mandate will depend on the interests of the selected student.

The Global Sales organization is part of the Customer Service organization at Pratt & Whitney Canada. Most team members are based abroad, covering all five continents. This team is responsible for securing business for its aftermarket maintenance facilities for all five markets: General Aviation, Regional Aviation, Business Aviation, Helicopter, and Auxiliary Power Unit.

Main tasks:

  • Provide support on forecasting, budgeting, and managing the compensation plan.
  • Perform market analysis regarding pricing, market share, product portfolio, and market trends.
  • Provide recommendations and support initiatives.
  • Lead projects in collaboration with IT, operations, and Business Intelligence groups Develop tools to facilitate decision-making and daily activities using solutions such as PowerBI, Excel, PowerPivot, Microsoft Dynamics, and SAP.
  • Coordinate, review, and update the aftermarket pricing Blue Book Assist management in weekly operation meetings and publish summaries.

The hybrid schedule involves three days onsite per week, totaling 38.75 hours.

About you

To be successful in this role, interns must be:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship
  • Be able to work on-site in the respective province of hire, where applicable
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Commerce, and/or MBA.
  • Having good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, is required for the operational needs of the Employer and the people with whom the candidate will interact. French is an asset.

Assets:

  • Experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Experience working with databases or business warehousing (Power BI, etc.).
  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
