Your role

The expectations:

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for supporting the data analytics and business intelligence activities required by the business. The responsibility of a BI Analyst would be to provide data product solutions to the business. From the creation and maintenance of company datasets to applying machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms and validating the maturity of the data against the business requirements, a BI Analyst would be able to support several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project. Contributions are made to the team or department by applying the knowledge of several functional areas.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Working with the Data Analytics Team to support the operational activities of the business.
  • Develop, maintain, and productionize data product solutions (Power BI Dashboards, datasets in Databricks) using Python and required libraries.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide the support they require.

About you

What you need to be successful:

Must haves:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken/written).
  • Programming skills (Python, SQL).

Assets:

  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Jira/Confluence for project management.
  • Knowledge of GitHub for managing code repositories.
  • Knowledge of the Agile Framework.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace and Quality frameworks is considered an asset.
