Your role

Pratt & Whitney expectations:

The CFL (Longueuil manufacturing centre ) team is looking for a dynamic, creative, and organized person who wants to contribute to achieving business objectives related to manufacturing P&WC engines in a highly technological environment. Are you up for the challenge? 

What your daily work will look like:

  • You'll be called upon to help the logistics team in monitoring and prioritizing the multiple parts and projects in progress at the heart of the manufacturing line in order to help and support the factory.
  • You will contribute to improving production monitoring tools using different IT tools (SAP, EXCEL, POWER BI).
  • Your role will lead you to use your communication skills to facilitate the progress of your various projects across the company's multiple stakeholders.

During your daily mandates, you will have to: 

  • Ensure follow-up of work orders in the factory. 
  • Provide follow-up to engineering and management on the progress of critical parts. 
  • Track production release parts and progress of priority parts. Route parts to the correct customer (engine center, aftermarket, experimental, NGPF)  
  • Priority analysis for scheduling purposes
  • Plan production scheduling in assessment with machine capacity
  • Monitoring and prioritization of quality notifications
  • Interact with several multidisciplinary departments to ensure the smooth manufacturing of parts.
  • Initiate and support continuous improvement projects
  • On site only - 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

About you

Requirements for this internship:

The unavoidable  :

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university for the entire duration of your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired, if applicable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Administration, Mechanical Engineering and any other related fields of study. 
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing environment. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills.
